interplay 2

Interplay 2 is the second installment of an ongoing project that began in early 2017. The goal of each piece is to take a certain pairing of instruments and explore the ways in which they can most effectively interact musically. This one focuses on coordinated rhythmic activity, often producing composite syncopations among the guitar and viola. In other moments, the instruments imitate each other, adopting techniques that are idiomatic to their respective counterparts.
