fractured emanations

Fractured Emanations is made up of several unrelated musical fragments, played by various subsets of the ensemble. Compositionally, these fragments are treated much like individual audio samples taken from a variety of musical sources. Each fragment recurs several times, often undergoing changes in terms of length and overall context in relation to the work as a whole. The fragments are arranged so that they “interact” with each other in a variety of ways while rarely ever repeating any exact pattern or sequence.
